Luxurious city hotel stay at the St. Regis Singapore

A few weeks ago we visited Singapore for the first time in my life on a 3 day stopover to Bali and I couldn’t have been more impressed! What a diverse, classy and vibrant city, which was intensified by our stay at the iconic St.Regis Hotel in Singapore.

Join me on a trip around this city, to show you several of my favourite sights and share my tips with you!

But first I want to tell you all about our stay at the luxurious and prestigious St.Regis Hotel Singapore.

Staying at this classy hotel just around the corner of the posh shopping district and Champs Elysées of Singapore was like a dream come true. The St.Regis Singapore is one of the nearly 40 luxury hotels of the iconic St.Regis hotel chain, which bears a unique history and has won a multitude of prizes.

The first St.Regis hotel was opened in New York City over a century ago and ever since has reached iconic status. The Singapore hotel is their 13th location in the world and the 3rd in Asia, run by local owners and opened almost 10 years ago.

This hotel epitomizes luxury, elegance, class and refinement with its interior design, art collection, staff, facilities and ultimate service. The St.Regis Singapore has a multitude of facilities, such as refined dining in several in house restaurants, a renowned spa, spacious and luxurious rooms and a unique butler service for all guests, among many other extra’s.

You can see all of it on their website.

And as the full experience of this hotel is hard to describe only in words, I will show you through several of my personal and the hotel’s pictures, and sum up their most exceptional features, so you can convince yourself.

Unique features St.Regis Singapore

  • The hotel is perfectly located for city trip lovers, business travelers, as well as families; only a 25 minutes’ drive from the airport, within walking distance of Orchard Road and the modern Ion Orchard shopping mall and just around the corner of the city’s first Unesco sight: the Botanic Gardens of Singapore,

  • The staff is welcoming and the service excellent with the unique signature St.Regis 24 hour Butler Service available for all guests of any room type,

  • The design and decoration of the hotel is opulent yet refined, with stunning features as the signature St.Regis chandeliers and staircase, and all the amenities and service you should expect from a 5 star hotel; free WIFI throughout the hotel, a tropical swimming pool and complementary 24 hours accessible Fitness centre among others,

  • All 299 rooms and suites vary in size from 50 to 335 m2, are comfortable and decorated with hand-painted Chinoiserie silk wallpaper, have a luxury linen king-size bed, spacious French marble bathroom with freestanding bath tub, panoramic city views, air-con, safe, flatscreen TV and many other amenities,

  • The St.Regis Singapore serves an excellent breakfast and unique afternoon tea at Brasserie Les Saveurs, has dining options at several in house restaurants and the popular yet classic Astor Bar offers over 50 different cocktails and 200 types of whiskeys with live music every night.

  • True to the artistic heritage of the St.Regis Group the Singapore hotel also houses one of the finest private art collections in Asia with over 100 original artworks and sculptures of various international artists, displayed throughout the hotel,

  • This hotel has many firsts, one of which is the debut of the exclusive Remède Spa in Asia, recognized as one of the leading spas in Singapore, offering a complementary access for all guests to the steam bath, Finnish cedar wood sauna, wet room, sensorial lounge with aquarium and outdoor spa pool. As well as many signature massages and beauty treatments of your choosing,

Dining facilities

The St.Regis Singapore has 3 different in house restaurants to cater to every taste, each with their own unique fine dining experience. Similar to the spirit of Singapore the St.Regis’ restaurant offering represents a melting pot of Asian and Western cultures, varying from Italian, French to Cantonese cuisine.

Brasserie Les Saveurs offers contemporary French dining, and even has a unique Patisserie with a signature afternoon tea and lunch.

LaBrezza restaurant‘s menu consists of classic Italian cuisine with modern influences served in a classic intimate interior, where al fresco dining by the pool is an option as well. Their 7 course menu complemented with fine Italian wines was definitely one of the highlights of our stay and is highly recommended.

Yan Ting restaurant draws its inspiration from the Ming Dynasty, when authentic Chinese culinary art was the standard, which is certainly represented in their dishes!

About the hotel’s surroundings

The hotel is perfectly located in the luxurious shopping and business district of Singapore, but also a short drive away from the modern Marina Bay and unique heritage areas such as China Town and Little India.

A few of my favourite sights in Singapore were the iconic Gardens by the Bay with its lush tropical gardens, Cloud Forest, futuristic Super Trees and magnificent views of Marina Bay.

But I also loved the other side of the bay at Downtown Core, with its buzzing esplanade from One Fullerton Hotel to Merlion Park with many bars and restaurants.

Here you have great views towards the impressive Marina Bay Sands, the beautifully designed ArtScience Museum and the Singapore Flyer Ferris wheel, lighting up beautifully at night.

If you prefer to stay close to the hotel you can walk to the luxury Ion shopping mall in just 5 minutes, surrounded by many designer shops and restaurants on Orchard Road, and just around the corner you find the iconic Botanic Gardens of Singapore.

I can also recommend visiting the freely accessible Sky Deck at the 55th floor of Ion Orchard shopping mall for one of the best views over Singapore. And of course to enjoy the many dining and shopping venues in this building, including all the big international brands.

But of course there is much more to see and do in Singapore and I will definitely come back for more. I hope to have convinced you that Singapore and the iconic St.Regis Singapore hotel is a definite must visit for you as well, and should be moved quickly to the top of your bucket list!

Would you like to visit Singapore and stay at the St.Regis as well, or have you been here or to any of their other locations already?
