Reunited with Thailand

It has been 10 years since I was single, fearless and hungry for adventure, which lead to 1 month of backpacking through Thailand alone! Best experience one can have, eye-opening, exciting, sometimes scary, maturing and never been less alone in my life! Certainly an authentic trip, but very low budget and not so chic.

I traveled around Thailand and the islands so much in a short time, that I felt my head was spinning:

>First I went from Bangkok Khao San Road and went sightseeing all the important things to see in that sweaty not so nice city.

>After a few days I took the night train to the north looking for more authenticity.

>When arriving there I took a 3 hour bus ride to arrive in the laid back backpacker village named Pai. There I booked a very exciting and authentic jungle trekking and rafting tour of 2 days.

>After that I flew via Chiang Mai to the south via Bangkok to Phuket for a few days.

>After staying there I took a boat to Koh Phi Phi, which I loved!

>From there a few days again to Krabi and Railay beach, which has beautiful high rock cliffs and is great for cave paddling.

>And from there again a long trip to the other side of Thailand to the islands of Koh Samui and Kho Phangnan.

An awesome experience with a lot of sightseeing, traveling around and adventures, but as you can understand a lot to take in only 1 month.

After that trip and some maturing extra years, I found out that when traveling sometimes it is also ok to see less. And that it is also really nice to stay in one comfortable place for longer than 3 days, and make some more day trips instead :)

Old love never dies

Happy holiday feet

Magical and authentic Phi Phi Leh

So now 9 years and a long and serious relationship later I decided to come back, no longer alone, but also in an authentic way, although more chic. With my lessons learnt during my previous trip to Thailand in mind, this time I only went to my most favourite places; the islands! Phuket, Koh Phi Phi Don, Phi Phi Leh, Monkey beach and Bamboo island.

Keep following me for more travel pics, tips and check out my next blog about my stay last May 2015 on Phuket and the Phi Phi’s for lots of tips where to stay and go on these beautiful islands.
